Bus Services
Go green and save money too by taking the bus! The local bus runs directly from the centre of Nice to the Nice International Airport T1 & T2 and then on to Auron twice a day during the week and 3 times a day at weekends for just €1 each way! With this service you can also take a day out from skiing and head to the Riviera for just €2 return.
During high season* there are free shuttle buses running from St Etienne to Auron every hour in the morning and again after lunch. A further service circulates the village every 20 minutes and stops outside the apartment complex, the centre of the village, the lifts and other hotels and apartments.
All this means you can take a holiday in Auron and never set foot in a car the entire time, all for just €2.
*High season is the Christmas and New Year week, all of February and March and most weekends for the duration of the season. |

Food and Drink
Auron has a strong Italian influence when it comes to dining out due to its location close to the Italian boarder. The selection of Italian food is available both in the village and on the mountain. The restaurants are both reasonably priced and the food is top notch!
Located in the centre of the village (Place Centrale), Pierre et Marie do an evening special, pizza for two including a salad for €10. From €6-€8 for a demi-carafe, the local wine is also great value.
On the mountain you will find similar prices if you stick to pizzas, pastas and the generous bruschettas. |

Summer Savings
During July and August, facilities such as the swimming pool, climbing wall, tennis courts and cable cars to the top of the mountain are open. The cheapest way to enjoy these activities is to buy a book of activities vouchers from the tourist board office in the village instead of paying for each one separately as you go along. You can buy these voucher books in various denominations depending how much you want to do and they are valid for the whole summer season. Also keep your eyes on the resort website for further offers that may come up! |
